Welcome to Drama!
In addition to performance groups, the Performing Arts Department also includes Drama as an opportunity in the quarter-long (ten weeks) Unified Arts rotation. The BAMS Drama course will consist of classwork that focuses on the exploration of the function of the theatre literature, performance, historical and cultural connections, and technical requirements. Improvisation, creative dramatics, and beginning scene work are used to introduce students to acting and character development.
Dear BAMS School Community,
We are excited to share the wonderful accomplishments of Mrs. Smith's drama class as they recently completed a captivating prop unit centered around the enchanting world of "Alice in Wonderland." In a creative and collaborative effort, students designed and crafted stunning, non-edible cake pieces that perfectly captured the whimsical essence of this beloved story.
Throughout this project, students engaged their imaginations and honed their artistic skills, using materials such as sponges, paint, and spackle to bring their ideas to life. Each cake piece reflected the unique characters from "Alice in Wonderland," showcasing the students' creativity and teamwork.
The end result was a vibrant display that not only highlighted the students’ hard work but also served as an inspiring reminder of the magic that can be created through Drama and collaboration.
