Engineering - Mrs. Orsini

Welcome to Engineering!

During the ten week quarter, the engineering courses give students a foundation for exploring interests and achieving success that can help them in a possible career and college degree along with practical and useful skills for their everyday lives. The real-life related experiences and instruction are broadly based, leading to a wider variety of future career options that they wouldn’t have had an opportunity to know about otherwise.

Engineering 6

Get ready for a fun engineering class! In the Design and Modeling curriculum, students will focus on the Engineering Design Process and 3D computer drawing.  In this class, students will learn how to measure things accurately and solve problems like real engineers do. Students will also learn to draw sketches of their ideas from different angles and create 3D models on the computer. By working together, students will learn how to design and create amazing projects while having lots of fun.

Engineering 7

Welcome to the awesome world of middle school architecture! In the Green Architecture curriculum, students will explore home design software and creations.
In this class, students will measure, plan, and create buildings. Students will create blueprints on paper and in 3D modeling programs. Students will also explore how real architects design buildings and get hands-on experience building structures like a carpenter.

Engineering 8

Welcome to middle school engineering! Get ready to learn about programming, mechanisms, and robots in a fun and hands-on way. In the Automation and Robotics curriculum, students will focus on building VEX robots and using coding software to operate the robots. In this class, students will learn how to write code to control robots and explore how different machines work. Students will also solve real-world problems, build and program robots, and bring their ideas to life!
