The dedicated staff of Bel Air Middle School is committed to supporting a learning community for our students to develop and excel academically, emotionally, and socially in a safe environment. Our vision is to provide a caring community that fosters rigorous
academics, moral development, digital citizenship, and college and career readiness.
Bel Air Middle School has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and has earned a “Gold” rating as a Maryland PBIS School. Our School Performance and Achievement Plan focuses on the integration of the school’s rigorous standards in our reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies curriculum. In addition, Bel Air Middle School offers an extensive Fine Arts, Music, and Physical Education program.
Our continuous, job-embedded professional development activities and collaboration among interdisciplinary teams and departments, allow our staff to integrate the school’s core values into daily instruction and strive for continuous improvement to meet the needs of our students’ individual needs and interests.
Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is comprised of an outstanding group of parents and community members who are actively involved in the development and implementation of numerous school programs and activities which enrich the educational experiences of all our students.
Bel Air Middle School is a community where decisions are made every day in the best interest of students to ensure their personal success.
