Plus each BAMS team will select a theme for race day and share it with families. Students can come to school dressed in their theme & show off their school spirit during the race. The Golden Sneaker Award will be given to the team with the best school spirit during the event!

BAMS PTA and National PTA Reflections Contest Announced!
Dear BAMS Students and Guardians,
Each year, the National PTA sponsors the Reflections Program to encourage K-12 students nationwide to express themselves artistically based on a particular theme. This year, the theme is “I am Hopeful Because…”.
Studentshave the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity in a variety of ways, from dance to photography to videography, visual arts or music composition!
We encourage each proud panther student to participate in this fun and rewarding program where every child can feel proud of themselves and see their work displayed in the hallways. Entries can advance to the county, state or even national level! But, regardless of the outcome for your piece, the BAMS PTA will be sure to recognize and honor every student who takes the time to share their creative ideas with us. Students can choose to enter in one or more of the following categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts (2D and 3D).
Guidelines for each category and more information can be found here: https://www.fspta.org/_files/ugd/024331_41d9b1e7e95d4527b24a22e957b0f7d7.pdf and here: https://www.fspta.org/_files/ugd/024331_47d4977be88648c59b3755d2242a442c.pdf. Printouts of the entry forms and guidelines will be available in the main office, along with a collection bin for artwork. Digital artwork and questions can be emailed to gracealfano@hotmail.com. Artwork can be turned in anytime between November 27th-December 8th.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions at all. It is our wish that every BAMS student who is interested in participating in Reflections feels empowered to do so. Just a few afternoons of hard work, creativity and focus can reap wonderful rewards. We can’t wait to see what our fabulous panthers create.
Sincerely,
Grace Garlen
