BAMS Performing Arts Department
The Performing Arts Department at BAMS offers performance opportunities in Band, Chorus and Orchestra for each grade level. Students are exposed to a variety of genres and learn through performing music. Each group participates in concerts throughout the year to showcase their talents.
In addition to performance groups our department also includes General Music and Drama (NEW this year) as an opportunity in the quarter-long (ten weeks) Unified Arts rotation. In general music, students are exposed to three instruments; the guitar, piano, and ukulele. Grades are based on effort, time on task, written and playing activities. The BAMS Drama course will consist of classwork that focuses on the exploration of the function of the theatre literature, performance, historical and cultural connections, and technical requirements. Improvisation, creative dramatics, and beginning scene work are used to introduce students to acting and character development.

Tuesday, May 21st- Chorus Night (6, 7 and 8th grade) at BAHS
Wednesday, May 22nd- Orchestra Night (6, 7, and 8th grade) at BAHS
Thursday, May 23rd - Band Night (6, 7 and 8th grade) at BAHS

All Concerts (except Jazz Band) will be held at Bel Air High School.
***All performing students are to wear their BLUE BAMS Music polo shirt along with black dress pants and black shoes.***
